How I Made a SkoBot

How I Made a SkoBot is a two-hour virtual engineering power session where students will get an inside look into the invention process behind Danielle Boyer’s wearable language-learning robots, the SkoBots. In this interactive mentorship-focused workshop, participants will learn how an idea can grow from a simple concept into a real piece of technology designed to help communities and preserve culture.

Throughout the session, Danielle will guide students through the creative and technical journey behind designing the SkoBots, including brainstorming, prototyping, circuitry, coding, CAD design, problem solving, testing, and the challenges of building ethical technology with purpose. Students will also explore how robotics, AI, and engineering can be used to create positive change in the world.
